I meant to post this on our anniversary, but our anniversary got in the way. Eleven years ago, I got hitched to this:
|
The Sharpie Tie |
This is a recent picture but it wouldn't matter if I had one of him eleven years ago - he hasn't changed a bit. By that, I mean he's the same age at heart as when I met him: three years old.
Note: he drew a necktie on his shirt because I told him he was wearing a rag.
Do I look classier now?
Is it any wonder he produced boys like these?
|
Oh yeah, they're normal mentally |
That was on the Staten Island Ferry. Yes, I took them to Staten Island but it's not like it's New Jersey - sheesh. Besides the ferry ride there is free and you know what that means...more money for beer! And look what a success it was, konked them right out.

I don't know these kids... |
I look highly unnatural in this picture because a gorgeous young man offered to take it for me. He looked like a Rutger Hauer under drinking age. Seriously, if he asked, I would've said I was their nanny or something.
Just kidding, Daddy. I wouldn't leave you for Rutger Hauer...he's kind of old now.
Happy wedding anni! 11 years? Let that beer flow!
ReplyDeleteYou seriously had me wondering who Rutger Hauer was so I looked him up. Then you reminded me of the time I had a crush on my personal trainer who looked like a young, sleazy Christopher Walken :)
Young sleazy Chris Walken? Guess that serves as a better visual than an old cross dressing Travolta! Can't believe you never heard of a.k.a. Roy Batty.
DeleteFirst of all Happy Anniversary! He looks good in his tie. OK He does not look good in the tie, but it does show effort. LOL The boys may be a handful, but at least they are adorable. The picture of you... very nice. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cheryl. He'll be glad to know SOMEBODY appreciates his effort at classiness!
DeleteThat last picture RULES. Happy Happy! ELEVEN YEARS?!? You deserve a prize.
ReplyDeleteI deserve the GOLD! Just fer, y'know, endurance.
DeleteNami- You are beautiful!!!!! And I think your husband and my husband would get along just famously! I had to brief the gently Montessori Guides that my hubby did the "EXCYUYUYUZZZZE MEEEEEEE!" after a huge belch at the table. The kids thought that was great thing to repeat. Not that your hubby would do that. hahaha! Sorry for being so behind on your blog posts! I am behind on everything right now!!!!
ReplyDeleteHey - I've seen that picture of the empty Sierra Nevada cases. That alone is a bond like Super Glue, right there.
DeleteHappy Anniversary. That tie shirt is hilarious. I bet Rutger Hauer doesn't have a sense of humor like that.
ReplyDeleteBridget - don't encourage him. He'll wear that shirt to work if he gets enough compliments.
DeleteLove the tie! Happy anniversary to you both.
ReplyDeleteThanks! And the tie is real easy to get, too.
DeleteI can honestly say that's THE coolest Sharpie tie I've ever seen. Tell him all he's gotta do is add a razorback on the back and maybe a little John Deere something-something, and he'd totally fit right in here in Arkansas. :) Happy belated ('cause I'm belated on everything these days - sorry!) anniversary!!
ReplyDeleteYou might just be on to something, there. Ever consider F.I.T.?
DeleteHappy 11th guys! :) You have to give credit to that sense of humour! Charming tie by the way! :) The picture of you with the sleeping boys, love it!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yes, you do have to give credit to his resourcefulness if not his fashion sense.
